100% synthesized and straight from a 1980s dancefloor, UVS is up in this! And for anyone opposed to the sound of frantic 808 drum beats - you will hate this band. With a passion. But for anyone who can tolerate an album full of club songs that average about 5-minutes in length per track will find them pretty sweet. I'm still on the fence, however.
UltraViolet Sound is kinda clever though. Emphasis on kinda. I like that their current, so-called club anthem is called 'Obsessive Compulsive Dancing.' But the lyrics are kinda dumb. And they're just... there. The chorus in 'BABYZ' is strictly limited to "Shut up little baby, you're a PUNK! Little baby - get CRUNK! Little baby!" Repeat. Lots of times. How you would perform that kind of song live confuses me. After a while though, they all start to sound the same with their samples and their shoulder jerking beats. Their lead girl predicts that 2010 will be their year. We'll just have to wait and see about that.
