Now, this is not just a product of me watching Nocturnal State. I've been a Franz fan for about three years now. They first pulled me in with their insanely catchy songs 'Take Me Out' and 'Do You Want To'. Then I discovered 'Jacqueline,' 'I'm Your Villain,' 'Michael' and 'The Fallen'. Among others.
They understand what pop is. They know what a party is. They just have these hooks and riffs in this particular song that - I don't know how to explain it. Just watch. The style of "No You Girls" with the chicks dancing around them in multi-colored clothes reminds me of Calvin Harris' techno hetero-anthem "The Girls" (If you haven't seen this video, get with the other 2 million people that already have, ok?). Pure entertainment all around. I hope FF keeps making music for another three years.
